Everything begins with 100% organic tallow from cattle that are grass-fed and grass-finished. We blend it with just five other organic ingredients and make every small batch ourselves. There are no fillers, no synthetic fragrance and nothing added to stretch the recipe. What goes into the jar is exactly what is written on the label.

We whip our tallow with nitrogen instead of air, because air brings in oxygen and oxygen shortens shelf life. The result is a smooth, stable whip that feels light on the fingertips and melts as soon as it touches skin. Massage it in and allow a few minutes to absorb. It sinks in cleanly and leaves skin feeling soft, not coated.

Which size is right for me?
The 4 oz jar is the everyday size for the nightstand and the whole household. The 2 oz jar holds the same lotion in a travel size, and it is a good first jar if you are new to tallow.
How do I use it?
Apply to slightly damp skin after bathing to lock in the moisture. Gently massage in and allow a few minutes for absorption, and use it as often as your skin wants it. It works on body, face, hands and lips, and makes a great beard conditioner too.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Our simple, natural ingredients are chosen for their nourishing and soothing properties. If you have known allergies or sensitivities, we recommend doing a patch test first.
How long will my jar stay fresh?
Stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat, it stays fresh for 12 to 18 months. The black glass jar keeps the light out and the nitrogen whip slows oxidation.
How fast does it ship?
We ship orders the same or next business day within the United States. Standard shipping is $8.00, free on orders over $50, and Express is available at checkout for $15.00.
What if something is wrong with my order?
If your jar arrives damaged or defective, email us at contact@heredisritual.com and we will make it right. Because our lotion is a handcrafted personal care item, other returns are handled case by case.
